On May 24, 2016, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal has established an affirmative anti-dumping industrial injury for the large diameter welded carbon steel pipe which imports from or origin from China and Japan. The investigated large diameter welded carbon steel pipe specification includes 609.6mm(without) ~ 1524mm(including). The Tribunal has made the preliminary affirmative countervailing industrial damage. The injury ruled that the imports of products caused substantial damage or obstruction and threat to the Canadian domestic industry. The specific reasons for the preliminary ruling will be announced within 15 days.

On March 24, 2016, Canada started an countervailing  anti-dumping investigation on large diameter welded carbon steel pipe which is imported from or originating in China and Japan.  The products involved customs codes to 7305.11.00.21, 7305.11.00.29, 7305.12.00.20, 7305.19.00.21, 7305.19.00.29.
