Here is the list for their difference. From the chart, we would recognize the difference between API 5L/ASTM A53 GR.B of the hot expanded ERW steel pipe and API 5L/ASTM A53 GR.B of the hot rolled ERW steel pipe. If you need outside diameter less than 245mm, you'd better choose API 5L/ASTM A53 GR.B of the hot rolled ERW steel pipe. And you'd better have the API 5L/ASTM A53 GR.B of the hot expanded ERW steel pipe if you need outside diameter larger than 660mm. And between them, you can have a better discussion with your steel pipe supplier for it.
