Fine drawing:
Cold drawing is to draw the metal pipe with a cold drawing machine without heating. The advantage is that it does not need to be carried out at high temperature. The disadvantage is that the residual stress is large and cannot be drawn too long. Cold drawing can improve the toughness and tensile strength and obtain better mechanical properties.
Production process of cold drawn seamless steel pipe:
Round tube blank → heating → perforation → heading → annealing → pickling → multi pass cold drawing → semi-finished tube → heat treatment → straightening → hydrostatic test (flaw detection) → marking → warehousing.
Difference between cold drawing and cold drawing:
Cold drawing and cold drawing are two different methods of metal cold working. They are not the same concept. Cold drawing refers to the method of applying tension on both ends of metal material to make the material produce tensile deformation; Cold drawing refers to the method of applying pulling force at one end of the material to pull the material out through a die hole. The hole diameter of the die should be smaller than the diameter of the material. The cold drawing process makes the material not only have tensile deformation, but also extrusion deformation. The cold drawing process is generally carried out on a special cold drawing machine. The properties of materials processed by cold drawing are better than those processed by cold drawing.
Main uses: for automobiles, motorcycles, refrigeration equipment, hydraulic parts, pneumatic cylinders, and other customers who have high requirements for steel pipe accuracy, smoothness, cleanliness and mechanical properties.
